Toothache and pain relief
Ongoing tooth pain usually means something needs attention. We find the cause and treat it, rather than sending you home with a temporary fix.
Broken or cracked teeth
Chips and cracks from falls, sports and bike spills. Bring any pieces you find, and we will repair or protect the tooth.
Dental trauma
A knocked-out or pushed-in tooth is urgent. Call right away, because for a knocked-out permanent tooth the first hour matters most.
Infection or abscess
Swelling of the gum, face or jaw needs to be seen promptly. Call us the same day so we can check it.
What to do right now
- ✓Knocked-out permanent tooth: pick it up by the crown, never the root. Rinse gently with milk or water, place it back in the socket if you can, or keep it in milk. Call us immediately.
- ✓Knocked-out baby tooth: do not put it back in. Call us and we will advise.
- ✓Chipped or broken tooth: rinse the mouth with warm water, save any pieces, and use a cold compress for swelling.
- ✓Toothache: rinse with warm water and gently floss either side of the tooth to clear trapped food. Never place aspirin against the gum.
- ✓Swelling, fever or trouble breathing or swallowing: this is a medical emergency. Go to the nearest emergency room.
